If you need to have your remaining teeth extracted, then you might want to replace them with a full set of new teeth supported by sturdy dental implants. This would also be an excellent alternative to wearing an uncomfortable denture. Teeth in a Day can allow you to have those implants and beautiful new teeth placed on the same day.
How It Works
Teeth in a Day is a special process that coordinates the timing of two aspects of your treatment: implant placement and implant restoration.
First, Dr. Tostado will meet with you to evaluate your health, answer your questions, and create your treatment plan. He will take x-rays and scans of your mouth as well as dental impressions and discuss with you how you want your teeth to look.
After that, Dr. Tostado will design a custom set of false teeth (upper and/or lower, per your unique treatment plan) in the on-site full dental lab here at 5 Star Dental Group.
Next comes the all-in-one-day main part of your treatment. Dr. Tostado works with the surgeon in our office, Dr. Acuña, who will remove any remaining teeth and then place the implants. You will only need four implants per arch in what is known as the All-on-4 technique. Two of them are placed at angles to provide maximum resistance to movement and provide maximum support. If you prefer, you can request to be sedated for this surgical portion. Click here to read more about All-on-4 implants.
Once the implants are securely placed in your mouth, you’ll be fitted with a temporary denture that Dr. Tostado made beforehand. At this point, you will go home with a complete set of brand-new and fully functional teeth.
For the next few months, you will wear the temporary teeth as your implants heal. After that, Dr. Tostado will attach your permanent set of teeth, the All-on-4 denture, to your implants.
What to Expect
Getting new teeth in a single day isn’t as simple as it sounds. There’s a lot of careful planning and coordination involved. Expect to have multiple dental appointments before the actual procedure happens. Dr. Tostado will let you know exactly what steps will be involved in your individual treatment plan.
You also need to have realistic expectations of how your new teeth will feel after you receive them. While they will be fully functional from the day you leave our office, you will have to avoid putting too much force on your implants during those first few months of healing. We recommend that you stick to a diet of soft foods for a while so that you don’t bump the implants and interrupt their process of integrating with your bone tissue.
Thanks to the support of dental implants, you won’t have to worry about your new permanent teeth sliding around or clicking the way dentures do. You’ll have a beautiful, secure, and stable bite for the rest of your life.
Are You a Candidate?
Teeth in a Day truly can give you a new smile in just one day. This procedure can feel like a miracle if you’ve struggled with long-term dental problems or a painful denture for many years.
But depending on your unique situation and treatment needs, getting teeth in one day may not be ideal for you. Visiting Dr. Tostado for a consultation is the best way to find out which restorative option is right for you.
