Mary Jo
Office Manager
Mary Jo has been the beloved office manager of 5 Star Dental Group for more than 20 years. She’s likely to be the first face you see when you walk into our practice, and she’ll give you a warm welcome and help you get settled in at your appointment.
Mary Jo was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University. She met her husband at Tech, and they got married the summer before their senior year. They raised two children, who are both now married and have kids.
When she’s not in the office, Mary Jo loves gardening, watching college football, and going on adventures with her four grandchildren, including a pair of two-year-old twins!
Vicki
Dental Hygienist
Vicki is a veteran dental hygienist with more than 40 years of experience and a passion for helping people love their smiles. Her goal is to make every one of her patients feel like family. Even though Vicki has been practicing dental hygiene for decades, she never passes up an opportunity to learn something new so that she can continue to provide the highest level of care to her patients.
Vicki graduated from Bee County College in Beeville, Texas, with an associate’s degree in 1980. Soon after she started practicing dental hygiene, Vicki also started raising a family. Vicki and her husband John have two sons who have both graduated with bachelor’s degrees. They still live close by here in San Antonio.
Vicki loves gardening, traveling, shopping, yoga, and building DIY projects around her home. She currently has one very spoiled dog at home.
Karen
Dental Hygienist
Karen has more than 30 years of experience in the dental industry and has been a dental hygienist on our team since 2010. Karen loves to explore new technologies and techniques in dental hygiene to continue offering her patients the best experience possible.
Karen has been happily married for 32 years, and she has three daughters and three grandsons. In her free time, she loves going to the beach and is a huge Spurs fan.
Kathy
Registered Dental Assistant
Kathy is from Illinois, but her family lived in many places while her dad worked in the U.S. Army; she calls San Antonio home. Kathy has two amazing children. When she is not at work, she enjoys gardening, crafting, traveling, reading, and spending time with her cats.
